One of the best things to do when you can’t create your own art is to consume someone else’s.
And if you’re a fan of suspense from page one to the very end, The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave is a perfect book for you. This book was full of plot twists, intriguing characters, and storyline that hooks you in on the first page and doesn’t let go until the very last word, which nearly made me gasp.
The story begins when Hannah’s husband doesn’t come home from work one day, and all she gets is a note from a random teenager with the words, “Protect her,” scribbled on a piece of paper. And Hannah goes into protective stepmother mode for her husband’s 16-year-old daughter, who isn’t a fan of Hannah. But the problem is that Hannah has no idea what she’s protecting the teenager from, and doesn’t understand why the husband fled.
I listened to The Last Thing He Told Me on audio, and I loved it! I’ll be thinking about this book for a while. Read it! I can’t wait to discuss it with you!
