The first thing I researched this morning was whether road kill was one word or two. DON’T DO THIS! Seriously, I looked up “roadkill definition” on Google, hoping to find out if road kill was one word or two, and one of the first listings that popped up was Urban Dictionary listing for “roadkill” and I realized I had made a serious mistake.
Moving on, I’m suffering from insomnia. I have no idea why. I’ve been exercising this week. I’ve been going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same time every morning, but between the hours of two and five, I’m wide awake. Nothing’s really bothering me or keeping me up. I do have a book to finish, but I don’t think I’m too stressed about it. But there I was last night, wide awake enough to watch the clock, check my phone, think about things, but not wide awake enough to get my butt out of bed and go do something, like work. And today? I feel like road kill (the two-word version).
Since I started an AMAZING audio book this week (I like to listen to audio books and podcasts while I walk and exercise), I popped in my earbuds and listened to It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. When I’m tired, audio books can help me relax. Well not this time! I could have listened until dawn when I had to get up and finish writing my own book. This book is so good you guys! You’ve probably already read it. It’s been on my “to read” list for way too long, so you guys are probably already way ahead of me.
But I have to share… I’m terrified this book isn’t going to end the way I want it to, or that it’s going down a dark path. I seem to remember a lot of talk around this book when it was released, and somehow, I managed to stay away from spoilers. At least I don’t remember any spoilers. SO DON’T TELL ME!
But I would love to hear if you’ve read the book. Did you enjoy it? Are you interested in joining me as I read it? Leave me a comment below and let me know if you’ve read it or would like to, and I’ll be sure to post my thoughts or open up a discussion when I’m done reading.
P.S. If you want to make sure you get my random thoughts (blog posts) when they’re posted, I’d be happy to send you an email on the day a new post goes out. Just sign up below. This signup is completely different from my book release notifications and newsletter.
